Playing Duets with Complete Beginners
on: December 03, 2010, 03:41:43 PM
Hello everyone,
I was wondering if anyone is playing duets with pupils at the very beginning meaning the easiest possible versions. I find the Alfred's duets, the "Two at the Piano" book, Diabelli and the Godowsky Miniatures very useful.
Is anyone using any other books?
Would be great to share some ideas and get some more variety.

Hello
Welcome to our forums!
Personally I use mostly the Faber method books. Most of the pieces have an accompaniment which is played by the teacher. And it works very well. Kids are happy to be challenged in this way.
I also recently did the 4 hands version of "Children" by Robert Miles with a student of mine. It was a good success.
