And that is in a sense why I prefer the live experience. The recording process drives me nuts, but I think from your video's you've mastered the situation. This is indeed a good recording achieving a thrilling result.
You have a musical answer for every technical problem, and the dynamic range is absolutely stunning, especially on the soft end with which you achieve great spontaneity. This is also about as well phrased a performances of this etude as I've heard, and your handling of structure adds a large than life dimension to a short fanfare piece. There is so much detail and so much to be proud about. That you got a little C in on one of the last jumps to the low bass D was almost imperceptible at first hearing...indeed I had to rewind it twice to come to that conclusion - RECORDINGS! I love it, and probably will listen to it many many more times.
