Seven-x
on: December 07, 2010, 06:21:01 PM
Someone was sharing some of their theological ideas with me the other day.  This improv is somewhat based on that conversation.  I haven't improvised in this style in a long while.

This was recorded on a piano at the Uni, slightly out of tune and in need of regulation.  There are many action noises, and you might even hear the people talking in the hallway.  (They are "supposed" to be sound proof studios).

Mic: H4n, internal at 90 degrees
Piano: Kawai GS-40
Made a Liszt. Need new Handel's for Soler panel & Alkan foil. Will Faure Stein on the way to pick up Mendels' sohn. Josquin get Wolfgangs Schu with Clara. Gone Chopin, I'll be Bach

You're a force of nature, Quantum. It's fantastic! I'd love to know more about what inspired it...something from Revelation (judging from the name "Seven-x")?

BTW, I was wondering what sorts of things your doing with music these days, if you don't mind my asking. You're crazy talented.

Hi furtwaengler and chopinatic,

There was a slurry of ideas the person was talking about: some connected, some randomly placed.  But the main ones I picked up on were the number seven, the Holy Spirit, and the fourth Gospel.

I'm intensely busy doing Masters studies in music at the moment.  Thus my rather sporadic appearance on the forums as of late.

Thanks for listening!
