On higher level pieces (Liszt etudes, Chopin etudes, etc ) how often do you guys do a performance speed run through of the piece? Everyday? more than once a day?

This is if you are trying to improve the piece. What do you guys think? Do you slow practice before your performance run? or do you just warm up and play it, then practice. I need opinions on this. I've heard people saying they play through their entire repetoire everyday at full speed, and I don't know if this is productive or not.

Depends how important the performance is and the piece.  At least a week or so before the performance I'd run through the pieces a few times a day, more practicing performing than trying to fix anything.

You can still work on things playing straight through it, like shape of the overall piece or plain endurance.

I don't think slow practice is going to hurt, except for time.

Play the piece or pieces through very slowly a few times for muscle memory. Then speed up a little faster playing it through. Then a little faster still playing every note. Finally play at correct speed a few times for endurance. Important that you do, as you say, a performance run through each time. Do this two days before the actual performance and take a break the day before. Just do some scales to keep limber. You'll be surprised at how well it works.
