Improvisations
on: December 18, 2010, 10:20:48 AM
All right then, here are a couple more from my now colossal heap of almost seventy CDs over the last two or three years. CD20 Track 2 bears the handwritten name "In the Garden". CD59 Track 2 was an improvised study for me in the production of orchestral harmony and rhythm through extremely rapid finger work groups with microsleeps. It's actually quite a relaxed and easy technique once the knack is acquired, and by virtue of its discontinuities, seems to me rhythmically and harmonically more vital than continuous notational flow. This one is probably a bit long and overblown but it was just a personal exercise I suppose.

Thanks Wolfi, numerous people are suggesting that in person too. Never having wanted to be in the music business it wouldn't come easily to me and it isn't in my personality to perform or promote myself. I might try it next year. There's nothing to lose now at my age I guess. In any case I'm pleased you like my strange sounds.
