I'm selling my Taubman Techniques DVDs
on: December 18, 2010, 02:16:36 PM
Hi!

Is anyone planning on buying the Taubman approach DVDs?

Well if you want to save a little and don't mind getting them second hand, I'm selling my 10-DVD set which is still pretty new...
Send me a message and I'll be happy to answer any questions  ;)

I have the pictures and more details here:

Cheers  ;D
Hiro

How did you find them ?

Do the DVDs come with the example book as well?

We have only one Taubman person in Brisbane currently.  I have been thinking about going to see her some time next year.

Thanks, Hiro.

Hi mmmleung,

I bought the DVDs directly from their website:
https://www.taubman-tapes.com/Home.html

Yes, the two example booklets (one for DVDs 1-5 and another DVDs 6-10) are included.

I think it's a method well-worth a try, along with other piano technique methods like Barbara Lister-Sink's and Seymour Fink's. They *all* worked wonders for me ;)

Good luck to you ;D
Hiro

Barbara's DVD really changed my life!

I also learned a lot from Thomas Mark's "What Every Pianist Needs to Know About the Body" book.

Tobias Matthay's teaching seems great, too.
Someone uploaded a video of a workshop Eunice Norton once did on Matthay's unique methods:

From 2010?  Haha.   Surely, these online or somewhere by now, right?

Hi Bob, actually no, this is not accessible online. And the message I was referring to was from late 2019 not 2010 :)
