Very funny, of course - but you could have added that one purchaser of this course found that he could play Michael Finnissy's English Country-Tunes in just a month, than which claim there could surely be few finer encomia?

Anyone can play English Country Tunes.

All you need is a piano and a few sticks of Dynamite. Simply attach the Dynamite to the piano legs, light the fuse and retire.

Then you have English Country Tunes.

Sorry to disillusion you, Thal, but that is untrue; they can't. I can't for starters (although, since I am not a pianist, that is hardly urprising).

Have you tried this non-recommended procedure at home?

Not yet. I am attempting to visualise the results after intensive study of the "music".

I typically don't care for these spam posts, but yours is a very quality website. I am amazed that your program succesfully taught a student who doesn't even have any fingers!  ;D ;)

That is actually the teacher, not a student.

Too much snow today to get to the pub, so I find my self with time on my hands.

Couldn't resist a bit of spam.

Yeah, me too. I was disappointed, 'cause I thought maybe Thal had taken the time to make a mock intro video. Maybe next time it snows...

Speedy Gonzales has been keeping a decidedly low profile in the U.S., and Wikipedia confirms my suspicion that political correctness is the reason.  From https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Speedy_Gonzales:

Quote
In 1999, the Cartoon Network ceased to air Speedy Gonzales. In an interview to Fox News on March 28, 2002, Cartoon Network spokeswoman Laurie Goldberg commented, "It hasn't been on the air for years because of its ethnic stereotypes." This is widely believed to refer to Speedy's fellow mice, who are all shown as being very slow and lazy, and sometimes even appear intoxicated. This is particularly true of Speedy's cousin, Slowpoke Rodriguez, who is exceptionally slow and lazy. Slowpoke is also known to carry a gun.

Banning "Looney Tunes" seems ... loony.  :)

Speedy has been absent on British TV for many years, but he has recently starred in an advert for Virgin Media.

Would not surprise me if the PC brigade is behind this absence.

Still, piano lessons from Speedy Gonzales is a very appealing proposition.  From Slowpoke Rodriguez ... not so much.  :)

Speedy, I'm so embarrassed.  Well, see, do you give a free lesson?  Thanks.  I'm so embarrassed  :-[ because, see, wull ... I accidently felt a rhythm and pulse into my whole body, accidentally.  It first was just imaginury, then it wasn't, but then it was again, but then it wasn't again.  What I should do?  Thanks, bye.

Speedy, I understand you're a Mexican mouse.  Do you specialize in Spanish and/or Mexican music?

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Speedy_Gonzales

Also, I have concerns about you pushing up the tempo all the time.  Do you play the metric markings as written, or do you always insist things go faster?  I don't know if I could cope with a teacher pushing me to play faster all the time.
