Erard Concert Grand - Year 1850

A full Concert Erard Grand Paris having a length of 250 cm long serial number 21815 made in the year 1850.



This is a rare find for us. Case is made of fabulous mahogany on three legs supports.85 notes.
When we found this it was in complete original condition, untouched and obviously had not been played a lot,
as its mechanics and hammers are in pristine original condition like it was just barely bought yesterday new from the Erard Factory.





Tuned at 440 and has no problem of holding a tune.
This has the original sound of Erard that he was so proud to have made during his time...

Very nice! They're fine pianos, though most of the examples around these days are in sore need of serious attention. One in unrestored good condition like that is certainly unusual. I've played a few in concerts, including one faithfully restored to good health, which was lovely.
