New member saying hi.
on: December 20, 2010, 08:25:56 PM
Hello everyone. I have posted a few times but really havent said hello to everyone. So here goes. My real name is Rebecca, but all my friends call me Becky. I am 12 years old, been taking lessons since I was five. My teacher thought it would be a good idea to join these forums and get to know people from around the world.
I live in West coast United States. My family is very musical. My older brother plays the violin, my mom the Viola and my dad the Cello. ( Guess what we do in the evening. )
Currently the main pieces i am working on are Chopin etudes op 10 #4
Beethoven Waldstein, Beethovens first piano concerto which is almost done and starting prep work on The Mendelssohn G Minor. I practice about 3 hours a day during the week. Six hours usually on Saturday, and Sunday is a day of rest no practice at all.
Thats it, wish you all good luck in your efforts, as soon as I get a chance ill post one of my practice sessions on the chopin etude.
Cheers, Becky

Hi Becky,
Welcome. Cool introduction of yourself. Wow, I would love to be a fly on the wall during one of your families sessions!
Guess I break the mold here, lol. I work on more modern stuff than most of what I've read here. I relate more to music I know from when I was younger playing bass in bands. Don't get me wrong, learning the basics and classics are very important. Sounds like you already know that.
Cheers back, Jimbo
