Name that tune!
on: January 10, 2011, 03:38:27 AM
Hi all,

I've got an opening to a song stuck in my head that I want to learn how to play. Except I can't remember the name of the song! The song starts with descending arpeggio triplets. I played out what I remembered on the piano. The notes I came up with are as follows: A, (A Ab E), (E C A). (Sorry if I broke any notation conventions.) This pattern repeats down a number of octaves.

Can anyone help me out with the name of the song? Thanks.

Grieg piano concerto, first movement.

Yeah - I have mixed feelings about this appropriation of the word 'song' to any piece of music - see my tagline!
