A Toccata I wrote in 2001, see what you think

Here's a Toccata I wrote in 2001 while a grad student in piano at USC. It won the NFMC Emil and Ruth Beyer composition award that year. Maybe you guys will enjoy it. I'm the performer in the recording.

You studied at USC? Who did you study with? I studied at USC for a few years also (piano, not composition). I also attended a lot of the contemporary music concerts (featuring students, especially), but I never saw your name there.

I'll give your piece a listen in a bit.

Studied with Antoinette Perry. I wasn't a composition student, only piano. I was pretty under the radar while there, when were you there?

You were probably there way before I was, which is why I never saw you. I was there between 2007 and 2009, and I also studied with Antoinette Perry for a short time (I didn't have much chemistry with her at all).

I was there 2000-2002. I know what you mean about the chemistry with Perry, I didn't have much with her either. I did learn from her though.
