Milhaud's Piano Works
on: January 18, 2011, 03:45:05 PM
I am to play the Scaramouche with another pianist at the moment. Of course, the Scaramouche is all easy music; but when I tried to explore more about Milhaud's piano works I encountered his Piano Concerto No. 5 - a fairly intriguing work to me. My friend said to me his only observation is the work's "French-ness", and besides the colourful texture I failed to find anything interesting. Is anyone here familiar with Milhaud? May give me some hints. Thank you.
