Excitement!
on: January 22, 2011, 04:32:52 AM
Well, I am going to pick up my piano tomorrow and I cannot contain my excitement!  I have been playing "air piano" for the past week in anticipation! :D  I haven't picked up a method book yet, so any suggestions are appreciated.  I am 24 and want to study classical, if that makes a difference in your folks recommendations.  Maybe I will post pictures or a video of my new baby tomorrow to celebrate!  ;D

Happy 1 year anniversary!  I just moved the piano into the house!  My arms are so sore from moving a piano with me and 1 other person, that I may have to wait to play, (I can't even make a fist right now  :D)

I ended up with a Gulbransen.  It is about 75 years old and desperately needs a good tuning, lol!

Thanks man!  I hear that digital pianos are pretty legit now and days.  That would probably be a good choice considering you live in an apartment.  I would shoot for a digital that comes with a sustain pedal for sure.

Hey RP,
I'm happy for you. Is Gulbransen the upright made of mahogany and cherry woods?
