What do you think?

In my opinion about grands...
Baldwin has a great lower tone to it. Steinway has a nice feel and mellow sound. But Yamaha is a good mixture of all tones and superb quality and feel. I played a Yamaha C7 full grand and fell in love...  I am interested in opinions...

Purchase the tone and the touch you like. Names or labels of instruments are irrelevant to the discussion. If you don’t like the way it sounds or the way it plays then you will never use it...best of luck with the purchase.

If you think it's is expensive to hire a professional to do the job, wait until you hire an amateur.

IMHO, I like the touch and tone of older Baldwins (keep the post 70's), prefer the action of Hamburg Steinways to US and the Baldwins, but love them both, even though practically every one is different even in the showroom, Yamahas, well, a C7 is spectacular and sounds and feels pretty much the same as the C7 next to it. Assembly line pianos without much variation to touch and tone, but still a real joy to play.
Again, just my humble opinion. Opinions vary.
