When you play like this, you can upload as much as you want. I really like your tempo. Some missed notes, but nothing one notice if you don't play the piano.

Some minor things, like a bit too short notes for my taste, but that doesn't really matter.

Though, the ending was a bit too much, imo. Too.. hammering, kind of, or too much noise.

But other than that - really well played :)

Wow, I really enjoyed your performance !!
Although I can't say I have the most expert opinion.... I do agree with pianisten about the ending, and the missed notes, but they really weren't very distracting.
Anyways... Great job!! I'd love to hear more of your playing ! :)

i love the tempo you took, you can hear every single note and it rings like a bell. to me, it was all very wonderful though at points i would have liked it maybe a little bit faster (i know it says allegretto and it's probably just what i'm used to hearing)
Beethoven Sonata Op. 13 'Pathetique'
Beethoven Sonata Op. 31 No. 2 'Tempest'
Beethoven Sonata Op. 90
Liszt Hungarian Rhapsody No. 17
Bach Italian Concerto

Thanks mate! I'll look into those short notes again - probably need a touch more short pedal! And the ending...wow, either the recording level was set up too high, or I didn't realise that's how much I pounded the piano! I did have fun doing it though, that's for sure...;D

Anyways... Great job!! I'd love to hear more of your playing ! :)

Cheers! Well, there're a few more that I recently uploaded here ;)

Thanks! Yeah, I rather like this tempo...it's more fun and not-so-stressful to play at this speed :D and it does mean the "piu animato" ending doesn't have to be so frantic!

Thanks for listening! Glad you enjoyed it!

O.o interesting...I think I did hear Yundi Li's studio recording on Youtube once, but aside from the fact it was a sort of music video and there is no wrong note, I frankly don't remember anything else!

In any case, I am a full-time music student (and well, of course I'm hoping I'm a talent in disguise! Who doesn't? Haha!) and I did work on this quite extensively in the summer, also with help from some really good piano teachers. In a way, after all that, it's slightly embarassing the way it turned out!

But, glad you liked it ;)

Hey there! I was hoping to bump into someone playing la campanella and tada, here I'm :D

So yeah anyway, I really liked the way you interpreted the first and second major variation of the song, like what some mentioned above, its really playful and I like how crisp and clear the ringing is :D

maybe you could add more dynamic variations and anticipation towards the end of the piece? especially when you approach the last few pages. I was hoping that it would end with a more POW feeling at the end, cause I really really love how you begin the piece.

But nevertheless, you are doing a great job! and yeah it reminds me I've to work harder on this piece now. haha all the best and yeap!

hello! :)

I must have listened to the La Campanella hundreds of times
for over 3 decades now and you play it so well!!  In fact, I feel
there is this gentle quality in the way you interpret it which
reminds me of the version of  Valentina Igoshina .... even your
finale has that gentleness.  BRAVO!!!!
