Pieces for lrsm
on: February 02, 2011, 02:20:45 PM
I was wondering what pieces some of you would recommend for LRSM... for now i've sort of "settled" onto the following

Bach P&F C# Major (Bk 1)
Haydn C Major Sonata
Brahms Op.79 No.1
Chopin Etudes Op.10 Nos 1 & 5
(Ravel Jeux D'eau)

I actually find the Haydn a bit tough in the character, although the technical part is alright... so i'm thinking of choosing another... The double 2nds at the end of Ravel is also giving me problems (So I am not decided on this piece yet)... and i also wonder if Op.10 No.1 and Op.10 No.5 is considered contrasting?? From my understanding of what they say in the syllabus, we cannot pair Op.10 with Op.25 right?
