Two Handed Playing
on: February 04, 2011, 08:16:18 PM
Before I say anything, I can play two handed. But nothing complicated, I'm a relatively new Pianist, I can play Fur Elise (The beginning of it at least) Mad World, and others. Ive been working on comptine d'un autre été l'après midi, and I have finished the song, but theres one problem.
On about 47 seconds in, I cant combine the left and right hand together. My left hand just speeds up to follow my right hand automatically, instead of the left hand staying at a steady speed and the right hand speeding up. Any advice on how to fix this problem would be greatly apreciated. This is a beautiful song but when I play it in its fullness then have to stop the left hand on that part it ruins the piece. Thanks

Well I've never heard of that song so I can't give that much detailed advice...
But whenever I have a problem with different techniques on each hand, I practice hand seperate a lot. That usualy helps me.
Good luck.
