Someone complained about the lack of options in the other topic, so I've decided to remedy the present situation.  8)

You can select up to 2 of Bruckner's Symphonies.

Why "without the 4th movement" for no. 9?

Best,

Best,

There are several completions and I thought it would generate unnecessary confusion (partly because most people are not familiar with them). However, if anybody wishes to discuss those and their relative merits, the field here is open for that kind of activity.

No 4 or no 9. Sadly I haven't heard all of them yet.

Symphony No.6 is epic. ;D I love it, and I don't know why some people think it's bad. I recently have just heard a wonderful performance of it at Benaroya Hall with the Seattle Symphony.
Currently working on:
*Prelude, Op.23 N.4 (Rachmaninoff)
*Prelude & Fugue in F major, WTC II (Bach)
...not fully decided on what else to start (most likely will be a Liszt, Schubert, or Medtner)...

Hard choice, but when forced: No. 9 (but WITH Finale). Just after no. 8. Also, nos. 3 & 4 in their original state are quite interesting. No. 3 in its mangled 1889 version I like least of all.

all best,
gep
In the long run, any words about music are less important than the music. Anyone who thinks otherwise is not worth talking to (Shostakovich)

No. 8 is my favourite of all symphonies, not just Bruckner's.
