“The Sound Always Comes First” — Andrea Bonatta on Teaching Liszt

Why tone matters more than speed, why reading Goethe matters as much as practising octaves, and how a single insight can transform a performance. Italian pianist and scholar Andrea Bonatta has spent decades exploring the contradictions of Franz Liszt, from performer to man of faith, virtuoso to poet. Looking for a Recording
on: February 11, 2011, 11:36:01 AM
Hello,

I'm a student who studies composition. For an assignment on school I have to compose leadvocal above a classical piano progression. I'm not a very good pianist, especially when I have to play classical. My question is if there is someone here who is willing to play and record the piece for me. On that recording I will write and record the vocal.

I do prefer a real piano, not a digital/midi piano.

I'm not looking for a simple recording with a microphone on a mobile phone or on a video camera, but a decent recording with somewhat "professional" microphones.

Here is a link to the piano sheet: https://dl.dropbox.com/u/6538035/Piano%20Sheet.pdf

Here is a link to a zip with piano sheet, an audio file and midi file: https://dl.dropbox.com/u/6538035/Files.zip

If the links doesn't work, check the attachments.

I hope someone is willing to help me out.

Greets,
Rick

Might be better to find a live pianist to record since there are vocals going along with it.  Pre-recording the piano part and adding vocals later does not work that well in classical music.  The two musicians need to communicate with each other in real time for the music to really come alive.
Made a Liszt. Need new Handel's for Soler panel & Alkan foil. Will Faure Stein on the way to pick up Mendels' sohn. Josquin get Wolfgangs Schu with Clara. Gone Chopin, I'll be Bach
