This is lovely! Every so often I go through a brief John Field obsession. Thanks for posting it, I like this better than the recording I have of it.

Lovely, delightful, what other adjectives might I use to describe this tranquil vision of John fields, you so brilliantly but simply put on display for us.  I have just listened to yourself , young Enzo and Young Becky.  A young lion and lioness to be sure.  But there is something about a mature artist and I dont mean old, that touches ones heart.  Your soul speaks to mine and evokes emotions that even when one is as old as I am, they still speak a timeless truth. You take such a sweet simple song and in it you display without any grandiosity a true artistic beauty.  I will most definetly listen to your other works on here.

Kindest regards, from one artist of many years to another.  Lady Pianist.
After a lifetime of learning, there is still more that I do not know , than I know.

Thanks for the recording! When I see a post by your name on the audition room I get curious of what it will be this time.

To me it simply sounds good, and when I listened it from start till end a second time there was only one little thing I could think of. Just after half of the piece there are some triads played with the right hand there where the left hand has a few notes for 2 bars. There I miss a few notes in the right hand (I think all from the third finger).

Well done!

This is so beautiful and tranquil... thank you for posting!
I haven't listened to Field's nocturnes in a long time, now you've gotten me to start listening to him again! :)

Hi : I will never understand why Field isnt more popular than he is.  I love his music and perhaps if there where more artists like you  playing it , he would be more popular. Thanks for once again for making me see the beautiful side of life with your playing.

Cheers, Becky

bravo!  I've not heard this piece before, and must lamentably admit that I am one of those people very familiar with the name "John Field, inventor of the nocturne" but completely unfamiliar with his music.

This really is top notch playing in my opinion. This is beautiful music, but it can easily be played badly.

It just flowed so sweetly & smoothly like syrup from a spoon.

I visit the Audition Room far more often lately. The quality is outstanding and the spammers are quickly removed. In addition, rarely played works get a hearing and sometimes never heard works as well.
