Royal Welsh or Guildhall?
on: February 22, 2011, 08:24:02 PM
Ok. I want to be a concert pianist, eventually on an international level. According to what I hear, it is too late for me, as I am not really young enough. But I am going to go for it anyway because it's in my heart. I was at the RNCM for one year from 2008-9 on a PG dip course. I had to quit because of financial reasons, but I am now considering making a late application to either the Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama, or the Guildhall School of Music and Drama. I'm too late for the RCM and nowhere near good enough for the RAM. How would you rate these institutions? I have heard the Guildhall is quite a high level, but I think the RWCMD might be better. I don't know! Any thoughts would be appreciated.

Thompson,
I wish I could help you but I'm in the USA. I'm also self taught so I'm really no help...

Why bother commenting at all then?

Why being a pregnant dog? We've all said what we think in any of your other 500 threads, and helped you with suggestions on your money-problem. The least you can do is say thank you.

:o  :o Because he probably wanted to be nice and let you know that people do care about your problems and would like to help you if they could! And if you can't get that and appreciate it then I think that is your biggest problem!! Because noone will want to help you if you'll be this rude to people!

You're right. I apologise for being rude. It won't happen again.

Sorry I didn't mean that last comment. It just gets frustrating when you're away from your friends.

That's really nice and cool of you to apologise!  8) I really wish you all the best! I'm having problems now too and I know that it can really make you feel sad and angry and annoyed by everything and everyone! Good luck!!  :)
