If you want to get a broad survey of most of the different brands out there, consider getting "The Piano Book" authored by Larry Fine. You can check out the latest edition from your local library, or buy it online at
https://www.PianoBook.com/ . There is also an annual "Supplement" that carries annually updated info (including price lists) on the pianos.
As you read the book, be careful not to read too much into the "tier system" or "star ratings." The author himself explains the caveats and limitations of the tier/star ratings he put in the book. If you're going to rely on the ratings, be sure you understand their caveats and limitations.
As comprehensive as the books are, they are still no substitute for actually playing the pianos first hand. So, go out and
play as many different pianos as you can.
Good luck.
