Looking for reviews on this digital piano
on: February 26, 2011, 12:58:42 AM
Hi everyone! I am looking to purchase a digital piano. Particularly this one: Suzuki DP-77rw Contemporary Digital Piano for $999.
https://www.costco.com/Browse/Product.aspx?Prodid=11531890&search=piano&Mo=6&cm_re=1_en-_-Top_Left_Nav-_-Top_search&lang=en-US&Nr=P_CatalogName:BC&Sp=S&N=5000043&whse=BC&Dx=mode+matchallpartial&Ntk=Text_Search&Dr=P_CatalogName:BC&Ne=4000000&D=piano&Ntt=piano&No=3&Ntx=mode+matchallpartial&Nty=1&topnav=&s=1
I've never seriously played a piano before but I really want to make a commitment to learn and take lessons. Does anyone have this piano or know anything about this piano? The reviews on the link above is not very helpful at all. I tried to google reviews on it and couldn't find any. I want to make sure that this is worth the money before I spend a thousand dollars on a new hobby.
Is Suzuki a good brand? The only reason why I'm considering this one is because it's on sale and it has all the features that I want.
Any suggestions or recommendations would be VERY helpful! Thank you in advance!

Personally I prefer Yamaha over all. But that's me. My first piano was a Casio and then I played a Suzuki along with a Yamaha and I've been hooked on Yamaha ever since. If you're looking for a console model a Yamaha might cost you more but it'll be worth it in my opinion. Here's where I do most of my shopping....

Whatever you do, be sure it has weighted, semi-weighted or touch sensitive keys!!
Let me know what you get...
