Hi Nat. you said you where 14. How old will you be when you will be done with high school and ready to apply to a conservatory? If its like in 3 years, then your way jumping the gun. You may grow a lot as a pianist in the next two years and choose a totally different repertoire. So again. How many years before you apply? Also dont use me as an example. Im in a special program , so its not like I have been admitted to the conservatory as a college level student. I still have to go thru all of my high school first even though im doing it the conservatory , before i enter a conservatory as an incoming freshmen. Best idea is to wait until you have your new teacher and then go over with them your goals, and the two of you together map out a path , to get you what you want.
Hope that helps.
Cheers, Becky.
