foot pedal
on: March 08, 2011, 08:30:49 PM
Hi all,
A couple ?? please.  I have a YPG-235 Yamaha keyboard and have the foot pedal plugged into the end jack but it won't work.  Any ideas why?  Thanks.  Also I am teaching myself and am around level 3 I think.  I notice some of my "easy piano" books have the notes marked to tell you what fingers to use on the different notes.  Is that really important to use the fingers they say?  Thanks and happy playing to all.

First check your instruction book. Also don't press it when you turn on your keyboard and be sure it is right side up. We make the assumption here that this is a single sustain pedal we're talking about, not part of a set and that you are playing in piano mode. If it still doesn't work after you turn your keyboard off and on then see your dealer.

I just looked at the owner's manual. It might be as simple as plugging the pedal in the headphone jack by mistake. You got two that fit a male plug like that. Try the other one.....
