Just wondering:

Is it important? How does it help that someone asks you "which tone is this", plays an Ab, and you can or cannot answer?

Isn't it enough that you can hear whether you play the wrong notes or not?

And can you train it? I do believe it's important to determine a tone just by hearing it at conservatory auditions. (?)

What is pitch good for?
