Melody Bober Duets
on: March 17, 2011, 10:45:50 AM
Good Morning,

I was wondering if anyone out there is familiar with Melody Bober's Grand Duets for Piano?  I've heard that they're quite fun to play, but I'm not sure which level would be appropriate for my late-intermediate students (I believe level 6 is the highest level).  Any insight would be much appreciated!

I haven't taught from this series of duets, but if you go to alfred.com, and do a search on Melody Bober duets, you will be able to see sample pages from each of the books of this series.  I do recommend Bober's Rhapsody Grandioso, which is a grand, exciting and fun late-intermediate duet, and teens love to play it.  This one is available as sheet music.

Thanks for the tip!  I went to the website, as you suggested, and that was quite helpful.  I'm looking forward to checking out Bober's other piece too!

Melody Bober's music is delightful -
I've never done that book -
"Hats off to you" for beginners
