As mentioned before, my keyboard broke and it was practically half my life(if not all of it)! I had a Casio keyboard, the CTK 900. It was a great keyboard, not perfect though. I am looking for a keyboard that has a headphone input (I was told all keyboards have this).

I am also looking for one that has different settings, especially a string setting as I love to compose orchestral pieces. And also a recording button, so I can record one part of the piece and play another setting with it as I play it back.

Preferably, I would like it to have weighted keys. My other one didn't. It also did not have to best piano sound, like there was barely a damper pedal, one of my favorite things about a piano. It can be from the brand Casio, if you know of one, or a different one if you suggest it!

Thank you for reading my post.

Oh why the demanding possessive "My" in the beginning of the title? No demanding tone intended!

There are some ideas on this thread:

My very old Roland is weighted and velocity sensitive with Midi. If you have those features, plus a Midi to USB adapter (another 12 pounds off ebay) and a computer with speakers, you are really set up for composing and great piano sounds, as you may know, you can lay down tracks easily with some Midi software.

You should be able to sell the old Casio on ebay, broken as is, or possibly fix it yourself if you give us details of the symptoms. Try it with batteries first, if there is no life at all, as power supplies sometimes break if leads get stretched. It could just be that.

Hello. My Dad thinks the speaker is broken (I can agree). When I play a key, sometimes the regular piano sound will come out, other times it is like a fuzzy, microphone noise, and other times it almost sounds like a whale to me!
