Anime, anime movie, MAKOTO SHINKAI!!!!!!!

So, until September of 2010, I was one of those people who look down on the people who are addicted to anime, I was like, "dude, you're already past 8 years old, why are you still watching cartoons? Get a life... how can you even sympathize with characters that are drawn disproportionately?"

But then I started watching a few myself, and FELL IN LOVE with some of them, particularly Makoto Shinkai's anime movies.

I just heard that his lastest work, Hoshi o Oo Kodomo will be released may 7th!!!! I've been waiting so long for this!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Anyone else watched Makoto Shinkai's works? If not, I really recommend five centimeters per second and the place promised in our early days. They're so great!

Yea I had the same experience with anime. I started watching sometime early 2009 and couldn't get enough. Only now I think i've seen all the good ones... none that i've seen come close to how good they were when i first started. I've never seen this movie though, so i'll check it out. One piece is my absolute favorite though, its incredible!
