Jardins sous la pluie
on: April 05, 2011, 10:46:11 PM
Hello,
I'm learning this piece on my own. I guessed the fingering for the beginning of the piece. out of interest, I'd be interested in the fingering other players are using for the start of the piece.
Thanks. Cajam124

I use my second finger of my left hand for as much as I can at the starting. It gives it that pattering, drippy kind of feel... I can't describe it, but I find it keeps it clean, stays out of the way of the right hand, and resonates well. When I use more than one finger, I find it hard to keep the touch consistent, and it gets too intense and in the way of the right hand.
For the right hand, I do 5-2-1 for the first bunch of figures, and a few 5-3-1's when the lower notes move up.
For the B+ broken figure, I do 4-2-1 with the right hand; this is at the end of Bar 2. After that I tend to use a lot of 4-2-1 with the right hand.
Hope that helps!
