Old Kemble Piano Question
on: April 06, 2011, 11:55:05 AM
New here so first I'd like to say hello. I hate to start off with a brain picker but here goes. I have an old Kemble that's been in the family for years although no one is around to play it anymore. I was told it's a Baby Grand. The serial is K118896. Kemble’s site puts this serial at around 1964. Can anyone tell me about this piano? Was it a good quality piano? What did something like this cost back in the day? Just curious as to what we have here. Got a little feedback from another site but not much is known about this UK piano. Hey thanks in advance.

Kemble were always mid-range instruments - good, honest workhorses but nothing amazing. They last reasonably well but after nearly 50 years the condition will depend a lot on how much it's been used, how it's been maintained etc.
Instrumentalists are all wannabe singers. Discuss.
