Programme notes for ATCL diploma

Hello has anyone taken Trinity ATCL piano exam before? Do we need to quote references and book used when writing programme notes? They didnt specify this in the rules and hope can tell me. Thanks

No; but then I didn't quote directly from any book that I used. The word count is very tight and it seems a waste of words. ;)
