PIANO COMPETITION PIECES
on: April 09, 2011, 02:16:03 PM
Can anyone please suggest any competition pieces. I have joined a piano competition that will take place in 5 months and I need to get my program ready for each round.
I'm in the junior level for 10-13 year olds....
The 1st round the program must be limited to only 10 minutes, 2nd round for 20 minutes and the final stage must be for 30 minutes more or less.
I have already done the program for all the rounds I need suggestions or changes and ideas
I have:
Ist Round:
Bach Minuet in D minor from ''Notebook for Anna Magdalena Bach''
Mozart Minuet III from 8 minuets
Tchaikovsky- Waltz from Album for the Young
2nd Round:
Bach- Prelude and Fugue in C from the Well Tempered Clavier
Beethoven- Bagatelle in D
Mendelssohn- Spring Song
Heller- Avalanche
Oesten- Doll's Dream
3rd Round:
C.P.E. Bach- Solfegietto
J.S. Bach- Invention 1
W.A.Mozart- Rondo alla Turca
L.V. Beethoven- Fur Elise
F. Chopin- Waltz in C sharp minor
Liszt- Gnomenreigen
Chaminade- Scarf Dance
Bartok- Joc Cu Bata (Romanian Folk Dances)
What do you think? To much? To baby-ish? To short for the alloted time please tell me thanks I always appreciate it!!!
