In the poco meno messo section the melody is in the right hand while the left hand plays dreamy arpeggios.
My question is this:
While the right hand has the melody, they also have some notes longer of value in than the melody does. Should I stay honest and hold these notes while playing the melody..? or should I let the pedal take care of it? Thanks! :D

I always try to hold those notes honestly, unless it makes for an impossible stretch or impossible position. I don't think it is much more difficult or too cumbersome to learn the right hand while holding the middle voices. So even during parts when you release the pedal, you can still hear the middle voice..albeit difficult to discern. I also think that is a good habit too.
Bach - Partita No.2
Scriabin - Etude 8/12
Debussy - L'isle Joyeuse
Liszt - Un Sospiro

Goal:
Prokofiev - Toccata
