How can i get my fingers synchronized?
on: April 13, 2011, 05:10:37 PM
I can play most anything with both hands synchronized, but when i have to do trills with both hands simultaneously, my left hand ALWAYS falls behind, other than playing slow, faster, faster, faster, actual speed (over time) is there anything i can do to work on getting my left hand more accurate and.... nimble so that it can play trills synchronized with my right hand... or because its two keys that are meant to sound like a slight buzzing regardless, does it really matter that they're not sync'd up?

You don’t mention whether the intended execution is as measured trills or unmeasured ones. (In a measured trill, the number of alternations between the two notes is precise and more-or-less evenly spaced.) I believe that should be the criterion for deciding whether synchronization is important (in the case of a measured trill) or irrelevant (when unmeasured).
If I’m wrong, I hope someone will correct me!

This is exactly the problem. Don't start slow and gradualy get to speed. Start at full speed, and practice like 1-2, 1-2, 1-2. Then, 2-1, 2-1, 2-1. Then, 1-2-1, 1-2-1, 1-2-1.
Then, 2-1-2, 2-1-2, 2-1-2, and finally, 1-2-1-2
