Looking for a piece for Brass ensemble and piano
on: April 15, 2011, 01:07:49 AM
Hi all, I am currently pursuing my graduate studies in piano performance now. Some of the brass players in my school plan to do an ensemble piece with me for the fall semester's chamber class, something like piano quartet or quintet (for brass)... i am having headache finding the piece now, we need something with good balance (equally challenging) at all parts. Does anyone out there have something in mind?

Thanks!

Without my notes, the only one that comes to mind is the Rhapsody for Piano and Brass by Gordon Jacob.

I am sure there are a nice selection.
