Should I follow the finger patterns? HELP!!
on: April 15, 2011, 08:03:44 AM
Whenever I play a new piece, my teacher always say that I should follow the finger numbers. While a book all about the piano and its history, the practice tips say that we CAN follow the finger patterns but we have to choose our own fingering  we are comfortable with. Who/ Which is right? my teacher or the book?

Ask your teacher what book did she/he derived her/his teachings?...
Or what is her/his basis while she/he told you to do that so...
