Loren Rush?
on: April 16, 2011, 12:32:10 AM
I was just reminiscing over some rare memories from many years ago and the name Loren (Lorne ?) Rush. 30-odd years ago I had a friend that knew Rush and gave me recordings and one score of 2 of his works. One was entitled "Oh Suzanna!" - a short piano piece based on an aria from a Mozart opera (the title escapes me), wherein the piece begins tonally and gradually turns into a serialized episode of itself and then returns to the tonal for the end. I know this is probably way off-base but it's the best I can recall. The other work is called "Dans le Sable" - again a short work for small chamber ensemble that I found haunting at the time.

The problem is I lost track of both of these works long ago and I can't find a thing regarding Rush. If anyone has any info on Loren Rush please give me a tip.

Thanks,

Lontano
