Minimalistic Attempt
on: April 26, 2011, 09:29:33 PM
When it comes to my music this is an important piece to me, perhaps one of the most important ones, and I am perhaps not yet capable of fully doing it the justice it deserves. But at least this is a step. It's of course not as difficult as a Chopin Etude, but it IS definitely very difficult to play.
I called it an attempt because at some point I am breaking out of the minimalistic restrictions and getting rather maximalistic. And, as it turns out, this is in some sense on purpose, not from my perspective but from the perspective of the piece itself. It has been one of my strongest inspirations and left me almost trembling when it first came to me.
