Brain Teaser
on: August 15, 2004, 05:46:28 PM
Whats up guys. 8)

I have posted two interesting brain teasers below. I'm looking foward to see all your replies towards them.

If there is already a reply posted try to avoid reading.
Post your reply then compare.

The first brain teaser might be easy, but believe me some people might get it incorrect.

I suggest everyone to really think out of the box for the second one. You should really think about your answer before you post it. TRUST ME IT CAN BE VERYX10 TRICKY.

I you read this and haven't seen the brain teasers yet, I might be still typing them.

Good luck ;)

1. There are ten birds around a tree. I you shoot one with a shot gun at a fairly close range, how many birds would be left?

2. There are two things in this post that are incorrect, find them.

A. 2+2=4
B. 3X2=6
C. 9-3=7
D. (9+1)7=70

Look at this question as the only thing on this post. disregard this hint and the 2 you see.

Oops when I said to disregard the 2 you see, I met the 2 in the top left corner. Just pretend that you only see the question the answer choices.

Also, feel free to post any questions or comments.

Good luck. ;)

reply to #1:

none, the shotgun killed one bird, and scared the rest away.

Reply to #2:

After looking, choice "C" is incorrect.  Also, it doesn't seem to be incorrect to me, but the only other thing that could be incorrect is the statement itself "there are two things in this post that are incorrect."

No, that is circular. If this statement is not correct, and statement 3. is not correct, that would make the statement correct again -> impossible.

You are right. It's kind of an contradicting question. It will drive you crazy if you think about it.

Lizmaninopin, the answer to the first question isn't zero.

Think about it.

Okay...here's a couple:

1. A man is sitting in a pub feeling rather poor. He sees the man next to him pull a wad of 100.00 bills out of his wallet.  He turns to the rich man and says to him, "I have an amazing talent, I know almost every song that has ever existed". The rich man laughs. the poor man says, "I am willing to bet you all the money you have in your wallet that I can sing a genuine song with a lady's name of your choice in it."  The rich man laughs again and says, "OK, how about my daughters name, Joanna Armstrong-Miller."
The rich man goes home poor. The poor man goes home rich.

What song did he sing???

#2.  Can you decipher the musical instruments represented below?

1.    P O
2.    BA  BA
3.    ECLART
4.    @#$%

(will post answers sometime tomorrow night)
Good luck!

If you shot a bird at a fairly close range, with a shotgun, there would be nothing left of it, (except very small fragments of blood and guts scattered)

So the final = of the question would be: "how much of
how many would be left" But that would ruin it though  :-X

Unless of course, it was BIG BIRD  ;D

And now for something completely different:
can any of you recognise a Larch tree from quite a long way away?

Here is another interesting one, but I doubt it is a brain teaser. It is more of a trick.

I would like for whoever reads this to pick a number from 1-infinite, DO NOT POST YOUR NUMBER.

Now, multply your number by 2, add 6, divide by 2 and, subtract by the number you originally picked.

When you are ready with your answer, post ready. DO NOT POST YOUR ANSWER.

After that I will post all your answers. You all will probably figure this out.

If you know this trick, don't ruin it.
