I'm from Australia, but I'm a big fan of eurovision! :) What country do you like the best and who you think will win?

That is a really good song.

I think that she spoiled it with all of the "American Idol" vocal embellishments and a "Southern American" (country and western) accent.

Too often popular musicians start out embellishing the song before they have played/sung it straight.

I don't like this anymore, everybody seems to be against Switzerland, since many years.  :'( I think the last one from Switzerland who got a sort of credit was Céline Dion...

The entire competition is so corrupt with neighbouring countries voting for each other and whatnot that I stopped watching it years ago

Now that is news to me. I thought she was Canadian.

Yes she is, but her participation in the Eurovision contest in 1988 was for Switzerland. That's another thing: many of "our" successful people aren't of Swiss origin. Like for instance Martina Hingis, who is Czech, or the gymnast Donghua Li who is Chinese, who won Olympic gold for Switzerland in 1996. But okay, Roger Federer is a native Swiss :)

I loved Slovenia's song. I think that Italy should've won. They were amazing! Fantastic music performance. But second is still good. But yeah, now I go for the countries that have THEIR culture in it. Well done for Spain, Moldova, France and any other country that put their country into the song.
