Scriabin etude- SECOND version op 8 no 12

What do you all think of his 2nd version that he wrote? Apparently it was his original..

I prefer this one to the one everyone plays. It has a brighter middle section, reminds me a lot of Chopin..The climax is even more dramatic..What do you all think?

Yes! your welcome! hopefully pianists will learn this version now more often..I would learn it, but I already play the "original" so relearning it for me, would be extremely confusing.

Certainly much more complicated then the other version.  I think the finale is much too drawn out in proportion to the rest of the etude.  I miss the harmonic pedal in this version.  But I think it has a lot to do with what we're used to hearing.
