As far as I can tell, the forum ID "john11inch" no longer shows in the members' list, but, since this is only one of several forum IDs that its owner has used on this forum alone over the past few years, the apparent absence of this particular one may not necessarily signify that he has actually "left" in the sense of resigning from forum membership.

He seems to have lost the "h" at the end of his screenname. I wonder how and why and what this may mean. Perhaps he has founded an Inc. (like incorporation)? "John11 Inc. your first address for contemporary piano music"

Indeed not, but since 9-foot messages containg the rampantly abundant and ubiquitously used colloquialisms typical of him seem to be rather absent for a while now, one might think that if the bark is gone, so may have the dog.
I note that a "Monsieur 30 centimètres" is presently being kept in a state hotel in the US. I note that 11inch comes close to 30 centimetres, so perhaps one may suspect a connection?  ;D

But "john11inc" does not appear in the members' list either.

But it does appear if you use the "Search for members" function. For some reason, "soliloquy" does not appear in the list either.

Strange in both cases; that said, I have no reason to doubt that, should he wish to post here again, he'll do so when good and ready under suchever forum ID as he chooses at the time.

Maybe he just got bored. Reading through the last Sorabji/Pace/etc...-related debate on here put my user-name into a coma. In any event, he still posts lots of curious finds on his Youtube page.

It would have had that effect or worse on most readers, i suspect - principally because there were very little useful purpose to be served by trying to make much of a discussion out of one broadly unqualified person's views on another whom he'd never met, with whom he'd never corresponded and whose work he had never performed in public.

Not much...I just thought that the discussion was collapsing into another one of those Sorabji-centered black holes that tends to absorb so much light around here.

Also, why is there a banner promoting Lang Lang on the top of this page?  I thought that this was a piano site.

I don't know about that - only Nils himself would be able to confirm or deny this should he so choose - but, as I've implied previously, the handspan of any particular member of Pianostreet is surely not "suggestive" of anything beyond the extent to which its owner might be able to negotiate, for example, some of Rachmaninov's larger stretches.

To put the question to rest, does your username refer to your handspan or the (improbable) length of your manhood?

I'm not sure if anyone has actually asked that question previously, so your raising (sorry!) of it here may be the first instance thereof but, having done so, do you consider that you have phrased the said question in the correct order or should it perhaps have been "does your username refer to your (improbable) handspan or the length of your manhood?" Furthermore, what about this length in terms of whether that handspan (if that is indeed what is inferred by the measurement concerned) represents the distance from fifth fingertip to thumbtip in a flaccid state or in a state perhaps excited by (fill in the pianist's name yourself if you must).

The fact that Martha Argerich is 70 today has, of course, absolutely nothing to do with this...

Girth.
Then I can only hope (for your own sake if no one else's) that you have a personal tailor in order that certain of the garments that he/she designs for you will help comfortably to accommodate this .28m girth at all times, not least when practising the piano.

Which stupid statements would those be?  General, nondescript/non-existent ones?

Regardless, I'd make a joke about you not having an excuse, but then again, I've seen your face.  How does your skull not simply snap off of your spine, when it's being tugged down by that schnoz of yours?  If you lean over far enough, can you use it to sniff your own butt hole?

No, I suppose not.  Otherwise you'd be too busy doing that to bother deigning your supreme(ly self-assured) wit and knowledge here.
