Beautiful job, especially the first movement.

From a (graduation?) recital for your NEC course?
It's a stunning program, and it seems to me that you did well throughout. I can pick up quite a number of beautifully sensitive things in your Schubert, and some very expressive moments in the Chopin.
It's too bad that the sound quality did not do justice to your playing. It doesn't convey much variety in tone colour at all, and in many occassion the sound seems constantly forced as a result.
If I can make a complaint, it will be that the 1st movt. Schubert can be more relaxed, peaceful, and poetic - or rather, I like it that way. Quite a bit slower, indulging in the warm sound that I'm sure that Steinway is capable of, and with the melody always shaped even more poetically than what you are doing.
Well, good luck! And what a joy to have played all those chamber works! I heard that Schumann quartet performed recently by the KLR trio with Steve Dann - it's a truly beautiful work!

I don't have high speed internet, so it took over two hours for the tape to be playable. I'm glad I waited. wanghuey is coming up with an excellent sense of dynamic shading, though in the first movement I thought the octaves were done much too violently to be in character with the piece. I get the impression that the piano on the stage was not of the most cooperative sort when it came to allowing sustained, resonant tones to be produced. I didn't have the score in front of me so I can't tell how faithful wanghuey was to it. I thought the long, flowing white dress was a good match for the repertoire of this gentle, flowing, tender Schubert piece.
