W. Hoffmann U832

Hi guys,

Hi would like to ask your help about a Piano that I'm looking to buy.

I have one guy trying to sell me a W. Hoffmann. He says that he is the first owner, that it was bought new in 1982 and its German Made. However I cannot find any information about this particular model.

Please take a look at this pictures.

The closest thing that I found with this inscription "U 832" was a Hyunday in this website. https://www.priceminister.com/offer/buy/61586062/Hyundai-U832---Piano-Droit-Acoustique-Hyundai-Instrument.html

Curiously this Hyundai is very very similar.

Could this W.Hoffmann be a Asian fake ?

Thanks to all,

Cheers

W.Hoffmann is a trademark under C.Bechstein just like Euterpe and Zimmermann.
There is also the Bechstein (Without the C.)
It is manufactured in Indonesia or somewhere in Asia.
Ask the local Bechstein dealer for information.
They are very cheap instruments.

Many well known manufacturers today have these cheap models simply to sell more to beginners and students and then hope they will later buy the "real thing".

Steinway designed Boston (made by Kawai) and Essex (made in China).

It is just business strategy  :)

There is also a highly reputable make called, I think, Hofmann with just one f - not to be confused with the above! (though my guess is someone hopes you will confuse them)
Instrumentalists are all wannabe singers. Discuss.
