Hi,
I'm thinking of buying one of Imogen Coopers Live schubert recordings but I'm a bit trepedacious ... can you hear chip packets being rattled in the background, people coughing, farting, sneezing, pins dropping etc?

thanks

I indeed have the pleasure of hearing the set that has the big A major sonata (D959), the D major, the a minor D845, as well as the Moments Musicaux and Drei Klavierstucke (D946). I bought it (And got it signed!) after hearing her perform the most beautiful G major sonata that I've ever heard in my life (so far).

Quality-wise, no I did not notice any of those noises from the audience. Interpretation-wise, it has musical integrity, but I must say I am not as impressed with the A major sonata as I was with the G major sonata that I heard. Her Drei Klavierstucke is truly wonderful though. Don't know about the latest set with the B-flat though...

Thanks prongated. I'm going to download the set you mention at the end of the month (I'm allowed one CD per month :) ) so its good to know there are no chip wrappers being rattled. Modern technology is wonderful isn't it?
