*chuckle*
I can differentiate between them pretty well. For starters, classical music is written with the intent of being played in a sort of concert hall setting by other people, not just the composer. Also, much of it is fully notated with said intent. The possible stylistic differences are only the beginning.
He must be the only rock guitarist ever to volunteer to play in E-flat minor. Not a bad bit of music, really, and I can see where electric guitar and symphony orchestra has plenty of unexplored potential. Not sure it really qualifies as 'classical' even so - 'light music' would be my tag of choice.
Nonsense.
"neoclassical rock"
Anyway what is "mainstream" and what is "classical"? Justin Bieber?
I'd say neither. I'd say Justin Biebers a fad that I hope will die a quick and painful death, never to bother us again.
Bieber is at least not THAT offensive

…really? So what about Bach's sacred music intended for a church setting, or any music written for dancing? Is that not classical? Or the less well known pieces written for a particular occassion, by a comPoser never heard of? Isn't that classical?
