What do you all do as a daily warm up, if anything, to improve your finger strength? I have found that after playing 5+ hours a day, I cant play accurately due to finger weakness. My fourth finger in particular is extremely weak, and even very easy passages become difficult as my finger slips. I have heard that hanon, which I previously did every day, is not as beneficial as some claim. I'm not sure which exercise it was, but it was performed as such- two hands thumb on C octaves apart- CEFGAGFE DFGABAGF. Up and down up and down. Is there a better exercise that I can use? I've heard that Chopin's etude op. 25 no. 11 works wonders, but I'm looking for something a bit easier and casual for now!

Any help with this is much appreciated.

If you're going to do that exercise, do it slowly, and in mf at most.

Though, why is everyone so eager to get a strong 4th finger? You can also practise slow trills:

3-4 When the 4th is playing, the 5th is also going down (ofc without hitting the keys, but more to follow the 4th down).

4-5 When the 4th is playing the 3rd is following.

Another consideration is Chopin Etude op 10 no 2 in A minor - it's bascially a complete workout for the 4th and 5th fingers! Enjoy :)

yeah, but you really shouldn't start with it... Though, now when you say it... Play it sloooowly for not more than 15 minutes. Never ever more, you should probably even start with like 5 minutes, and then build up. That should work.

That's actually a really good one . . . careful to stay free in the hand (and I would do each one separately so that you can concentrate more fully on the movement).  It's about balance, more than anything.
