I used them growing up, and found them very helpful.  Why do you ask?  Are you dissatisfied with the material in them?

No, I am not dissatisfied with them, I am in Book Grade 3 and I hope to finish it.

But I want to know if they are a good pedagogical books for playing piano. I mean, if they put you in the "right path" for learning piano.

I was trained using these books back in the early 70's, so I have fond memories.

Would have thought they are more suitable for children. Adults might be put off by silly pictures of dancing elves and the like.

Not me, I colour them in.

I found them very useful because it had accompaniment parts so therefore the teacher can play with me. So its sort of like a duet sometimes.
Funny? How? How am I funny?

;DMine seemed to have disappeared.  I loved those books!  Wanted to keep them just for memory's sake.  I think my sister took them when I wasn't looking!

When Practice Stagnates – Breaking the Performance Ceiling: Robotic Training for Pianists

“Practice makes perfect” is a common mantra for any pianist, but we all know it’s an oversimplification. While practice often leads to improvement, true perfection is elusive. But according to recent research, a robotic exoskeleton hand could help pianists improve their speed of performing difficult pianistic patterns, by overcoming the well-known “ceiling effect”.
