Haydn Sonata Hob xvi 42
on: July 08, 2011, 10:57:58 AM
I'm starting to take interest in the less played Haydn sonatas.. Any other less played work too, but now I'm kind of into Haydn.
I'm getting bored by the sonatas that everybody can have an opinion about, even before it has been played at the concert, and can say "I believe that s/he is capable of playing it very well, but not as good as that and that pianist".

This is, at least for me, a very romantic sonata in two movements. The first movement (which I will post later) has almost a divine love-feel to it. It's like a great love, but very intimate, and not for the whole world to know, but just as great.

The second movement is more lively. (I haven't really come up with a story to it yet, or what everything mean) It's like 2 minutes long and very concrete..-ish.

Right now, I only post the second movement (the 1st is somehow a minor hell to memorize), though I've only played it for like 3 days, so there are loads of things to fix. Same lengths of the notes, and balance in the ending, for example. But I'd love your comments anyway!
